The first flying jetpack looks like this, joyriding around the Statue of Liberty (VIDEO)
No need to pinch yourself MCR fan, this is real life. This is what the first true flying jetpack looks like, joyriding around New York City’s 93-metre tall Statue of Liberty.
Designed by jetpack ‘startup’ JetPack Aviation, the JB-9 JetPack backpack is officially powered by a jet turbine capable of vertical takeoff and landing (VTOL). It reaches speeds over 100 miles per hour (mph), altitudes as high as 10,000 feet (ft) with flight times lasting up to 10 minutes. Its body is conveniently small and light enough to carry around on your back and fit inside the trunk of your car.
The video below showcases the product of over 40 years of ‘heart work’ by arguably the world’s greatest RocketBelt design and flight team on earth.
